CALIFORNIA MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TEAM (CAL-MAT) PROGRAM

CAL-MATs form an integral part of EMSA’s Mobile Medical Assets (MMA) Program. Modeled after the successful federal DMAT program, California Medical Assistance Teams (CAL-MATs) are a group of highly trained medical professionals and other specialists organized and coordinated by the State Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) for rapid field medical response in disaster.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
EMSA is presently accepting applications for Phase I of the CAL-MAT program. Registration is open to persons currently affiliated with a federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) in California. Phase II of the program for persons not affiliated with DMAT will begin immediately following completion of Phase I.
