The Vision Implementation Project was formally completed in December 2002, after four years of work by EMS constituents, the EMS Commission, and the EMS Authority. The project included 66 objectives formed by EMS constituents at the first Vision conference in 1998, and 90 objectives from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Vision Final Report was completed in October 2003, and details the magnitude of the project undertaken by the EMS community statewide. The report includes:
- Project Overview
- Description of the challenges that faced the Vision Project
- Summary of work by each Vision committee
- Summary of work on the NHTSA objectives by component
After each Vision committee work summary and NHTSA component work summary, objectives included in the State EMS Plan are identified. In addition, a status report for individual objectives from the Vision Project and NHTSA Assessment is located in the appendices of the document.
